Guide to Vaping For New E-Cigarette Smokers
Personal Vaporizers or E-Cigarettes are different terms that have the same meaning. Personal vapes are now a widely popular device that has now been used in place of traditional cigarettes that use tobacco. E-cigarettes contain propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin and the additive food coloring. They can also have nicotine content in them or not at all, depending on the tastes of the user. The device itself was first introduced in 2003 by a Chinese named Hon Lik but was only allowed in the US market since 2006. Since then, E-cigarettes have become more and more popular. The industry has also much expanded with a lot of companies now manufacturing this product along with the miscellaneous components needed for it. There is now a huge variety of E-cigarette types that one can pick from the many companies that manufacture them. A lot of E-cigarettes are now available that can be modified and customized, depending on the user, which will result to a variety of vaping experience. Although there are many types of Personal Vaporizers available in the market as of the present, these devices still operate on the same principle. E-cigarettes or personal vaporizers fundamentally require an energy source which are often in the form of rechargeable lithium ion batteries and a wire coil that will heat up to create the vape smoke. To draw in the e-liquid or juice to the coil, a wick is used for such purpose. The E-cigarettes components should also be important thing the user to be aware of.
The most crucial part of the device is always the battery. The device will require the right amount of voltage and amplitude for it to work properly. A few vaporizers does not allow interchangeability of the batteries however there are others that do. Replacements of batteries are often times reserved for more experienced vape users since this can cause serious malfunctions to the device. Coils are another small part of the device that is very important. These look like metal springs that are used to heat-up creating the smoke when inhaled. Resistance determines the vaporizers electricity consumption. Kanthal and Nichrome are the ones that make up the coils and these have been proven to be safe for humans. E-liquid or e-juice as they are more commonly referred to, consist of vegetable glycerin, food coloring, propylene glycol and even sometimes nicotine.
These liquids can vary in their PG/VG ratio and nicotine amount.
Typically, those who switch from tobacco start from a higher amount of nicotine in juices.
Overtime, they may decrease the content they use while vaping. Heavy smokers often start from a high 24mg/ml nicotine content but can switch overtime to more moderate amounts of up to 12mg/ml. However, it is not recommended to take nicotine with strength above 18mg/ml.
The best device for beginners are low output and regulated types which have integrated internal batteries. More complex devices are often better but for those who are still new to Vaping, this might be the most appropriate to have.
